Above all, though, Ernest believes that constantly trying new extraction profiles, grind sizes, and brew times can help you find the sweet spot. “Experiment!” he says. “You can influence which characteristics of the coffee are emphasised by trying different grind sizes and brew times.”

“Brew faster to enhance nuance and go slower to emphasise body and sweetness,” he continues. “Play with different combinations of grind size and brew time to find your preferred settings. It’s a really enjoyable way to brew and drink coffee.”
